Summer is officially over!

Summer is over! I can't believe that our new life has officially been underway for over a week now. So far, so good! We stayed pretty busy last week and this week will be just as busy.
It still feels like it is just a weekend. We don't sleep in too much... well as long as you don't count 8 oclock as sleeping in! It has been AWESOME!

Last week I was downloading G's math onto the computer (we are using Teaching Textbooks) so I was showing him how he would get logged on and what the lesson would be like. The kid wanted to keep going! He completed his first lesson and all the practice questions and made a 95 on his first day!
Here he is listening to the lesson. He's so big and oh so cute! He tried to skip it because he figured he knew it all already, but soon discovered that he does in fact need to listen to the whole thing in order to answer all the questions! So glad that he found that out in the very beginning!
This is the gradebook page so I can see what questions he had to repeat, if he skipped any and what he got wrong. It's a really neat program!

MG wanted to be included and she decided that she wanted to do a lesson as well. We did an entire Language Arts lesson for her. It was really fun! They wanted to keep going, but I wasn't prepared to jump in and wanted to keep the first day as picture perfect in my head as possible... does that make sense?
See, she's in her pj's and I don't want us doing school in pj's just yet - those will be special days they have to work towards. I don't think we had even brushed her hair!

So here is a few clips from our first week of nothing but play!!!
Monday we went swimming at my dad's house!
Tuesday we went to Guntersville for the day to visit Jessica and Kara. We LOVE this town and Jessica is so hospitable and not to mention the BEAUTY of the place! It was a wonderful day!
W can play outside all day long if you let him. He loves trucks of any kind, but if it's a firetruck or a dump truck then they will really captivate him!

This was my position most of the day! Isn't that the life! Jessica is one blessed lady!

MG loves lizards! She fits right in with Kara when it comes to that. I remember her being little and loving bugs just like MG.

3 amazing women in one of my favorite families! So strong, so faithful and so full of love!

Wednesday we did a first for us : Meals on Wheels. We did this with another family and I'm so glad that we did because we had a double route AND it was raining the whole time! The kids liked having each other and thank goodness we had the van with a DVD player. Aren't they cuties?!

Just a trip to Publix! We can make a quick trip to the grocery store fun, but it has to be a small one when driving this car because those don't hold much! Gabe is holding up "10" because he is counting down to the August 7th, his 10th birthday!
