Catching Up to 2019

It is now 2019... whoa. How did that happen?! These last few months have FLOWN by - well, January did NOT, but that's how it always happens right? I’ve started this particular post about 15 times and then would get pulled away by one of the kids needing something (the usual, “I want food or drink or W STINKS!!! Please change him!!” -yes he is still going in his pants, another topic for another post!!) So, I have so much to catch up on so I’m going to do a short summary and maybe more in depth on certain things as needed. My goal is to keep this blog up. I’ve not been on Facebook much lately and I do love that I can look back at memories so I would like for this to take the place of that... duh, Magg-nificient Memories!!!

September 2018- We jumped into our second month of homeschooling. Started seeing how MG learned and it was not the way I was wanting to teach! I planned all the worksheets out (literally had them all in order by week in folders labeled until December...) We went head to head battle from September through January and I came as close as driving to the school to enroll her again. More on this later! We told the kids we were going to Disney in December for their big Christmas present!
W started a Moms Day Out program. I’m not sure if I had said that before. He still loves his “school” and we do too! It gives us time to do our school without him, 3 days a week for almost 4 hours. It is plenty of time to get through it!

October 2018- It’s my birthday month! I love October! 😍 We got outside as much as possible this month with playground trips, harvest festivals and pumpkin patches. W dressed up as the Hulk (never a more fitting costume if you know him!) and he wanted to wear it all the time.  I have so many pictures uploaded, but many I have put up on Facebook because I was doing that then... so maybe I won’t share all 28 I just tried to upload on here! 😜

Prizes helped us with school for a bit... but soon it became all about that and our tantrums because we didn’t get a 100 were awful... so a prize for 100 lasted only a few weeks!

W has THE BEST smiles!!

We started taking weekly trips to the library. I LOVE our library and all it has to offer! Our downtown area is a beautiful place to walk too. 

Halloween was a blast this year! Seth loves Halloween. If I let him, he would have the freaky house that everyone is scared of!

MG is JoJo and G just made up something for one of the Harvest Festivals. I love this one picture because you can see how tall G has gotten!!

November 2018- This is another month of family fun with MG's birthday and Thanksgiving. I also got to get away for a weekend with the Ladies Group at church. We went to Destin and had a blast!

Yes, we look like MeeMee (my mother)! I think in person it really shows! We love her!

While at Nana's for Thanksgiving we got to swing on the tire swing, shoot my gun (we let G after some training) and have wonderful time with a loud fun family!

We always decorate for Christmas in November. It does seem to get earlier every year though!

December 2018- OUR DISNEY TRIP!!! We went with four other families from church and had such a good time! It was very laid back because we didn't 'over plan' ourselves. We didn't make reservations at tons of restaurants and we met up when we had free time! I'm not going to upload the LOAD of pictures or even most of my favorites because I did do this all on my Facebook page and I can always go back there to look. 

We started the trip by taking a field trip to St. Augustine for the weekend. That place is absolutely beautiful. We want to go back there because we spent two day, but still didn't make a dent in everything that could be seen. It was very crowded when we were there too because of a boat parade (which we didn't get to see). We definitely want to go back there. 

The weather was weird for us. We were freezing, hot and wet! All three extremes and sometimes on the same day! We made it work and had a great time!

Our first morning and ALL smiles before 8am! We had to get proof that it happened! We made it for rope drop at Magic Kingdom that day! (this may have been the only morning that we got out that early, but it was a loaded day!)

We tend to be left out of kissy pictures so I try and get some with just us a few times a trip now!

Our last day in the parks rained... a lot... but we kept smiles and kept pushing through. "Better to be a rainy day at Disney, than a sunny day at home!" some might say!

Leaving and so very sad... really it was an awful experience and not one that I want to  remember! Especially, my attitude!... we can pitch fits too, am I right?!

Christmas was so fun this year. My kids are always so appreciative with gifts and continually say thank you! (now a few days down the road they may not be treating the gift like they appreciate it...but that's learned, right?? Anyways, we are working on how we treat our belongings.)
I'm not posting many pictures on this either because I have so many on Facebook. W LOVED his Jeep and he and MG ride daily still.

W was the only one in a Christmas program. The Bigs will be in one this Spring at church.

We go to Nana's for Christmas too. MG shares Nana's birthday in November.
