Blessed.
I have so many people who are being so supportive, but there is two in particular who are making it just as much of a mission as I am!
Jessica (my kids lovingly call her Aunt Jessica!) has been my friend for almost 9 years now and I love her. I can't imagine not having her or her family. Looking back I know that God had a plan for us to meet. He knew we would find each other in a ladies bible study in Maryland and that we would love on each other and that we would end up moving to Alabama - both at separate times - but still be in touch and just as close! We live 3 hours apart now, but we are about to be seeing each other often! (Be ready!!) She has been homeschooling for years and like me, did not intend to, but was called to. She was my shining light to tell me "you need to follow this path" ... she has showed me so much already and is beyond eager to step in and help set up and give, give, give! She and her other friend Jessica, have loaned us almost every bit of our curriculum!! She is helping me plan and set up... I just don't know what I would do without her!
The other amazing blessing to our family is Cheryl and her family. W stays with them everyday while I work. She is Mama C and her husband, Russell, is Opa. They are basically another set of grandparents to W. He ADORES them (and I think they have a thing for him too! 😉) Cheryl has homeschooled her two sons to graduation (Josh graduates in May). She has been more of a hand on my back and pushing (in a good way!) rather than just a light shining on the path like Jessica. They are so different in demeanor and it shows in this way! God knew I would need more of a push and Cheryl has said since the first time I mentioned anything about homeschooling being a possibility that I needed to do it. She has said from day 1 that G needs it. She has flat out told me, "Any private school or public school, is not going to be enough for him." She is straight forward and didn't care that I was still hesitant, she was going to tell me! Another wonderful quality: she is a yard sale queen! She can find a deal. She NEVER pays full price (or even half price 😛) for anything. She has provided books upon books and games, MICROSCOPE, shelving, binders ... and of course encouragement and words of advice.

I can take credit for this find! I got it at a garage sale and it works perfectly! We will be making copies like crazy! |
I just can't imagine not having the help and support that I do. Seth is just as excited as I am! He is a little different though - he wants to buy the biggest and the best! We are talking about our children's education after all! He wants a smart board and computers and a science center!! I sent him for chalkboard paint, we have Jessica's tablets and we will go outside and do projects for science - lol!!
We have decided to make MG's room into the school room. I spent this past week cleaning it out and getting ready for Jessica to come down this weekend to help set up! I will do a post once we get everything done, but here is a little sneak peek!

I don't believe this room was this clean even when we moved in! Literally starting with a clean slate! |

Small bookcase that already holds so much curriculum we were blessed with!! EEEKKK!! |
I'm going to do Him proud. I am going to teach to the best of my ability and will seek out help when I can't get through (see I'm already preparing for that!)
We are going to make it - watch and see!
